Terms of Service

Who we are

This website is operated by Blue Otter Water LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company doing business as Blue Otter Water Filtration, based in Covington, Louisiana. When these terms say "we" or "Blue Otter," that is who they mean.

What this site is for

The site exists to show you what is in your neighborhood's water, using each water system's published annual reports, and to let you request a written recommendation and price from us. The water reports summarize data published by the systems themselves; we link the source and you should treat the original report as the authoritative document. Figures are as published, and sampling methods and ranges live in the originals.

What the reports are not

Nothing on this site is a warning about water safety, a health claim, or medical advice. Public water systems in our area meet federal standards. Our reports and recommendations are about taste, feel, staining, film, and equipment, and they are marketing for our services as well as a genuine summary of public data. Where a report is wrong or out of date, tell us and we will correct it.

Quotes and work

Any price on a written quote is the price, fixed in writing, and the scope changes only with your approval. Installation work is performed by or under licensed plumbers. Louisiana law gives you a three-day right to cancel home solicitation sales, and your signed agreement includes that notice. Warranty terms for equipment are stated on your quote and come from the manufacturer; we pass them through and help you use them.

Texting and calls

If you give us your number, we may call or text you about your request. Reply STOP to any text and automated texting to your number ends. Details are in ourprivacy policy, along with what we collect and what we never do with it.

The usual legal things

The site is provided as is, without warranties about availability or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for damages arising from your use of the site itself; obligations about installed work are governed by your written agreement, not this page. These terms are governed by Louisiana law, and disputes belong to the courts of St. Tammany Parish. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stands. We may update these terms, and the date above always tells you when we last did.
